ERCI Webinar | Transparent Multimodal/Rail Supply Chain Powered by GS1 EPCIS 2.0

In this ERCI Webinar you will learn about the use of GS1 for transparency in the multimodal/railway supply chain. GS1 is a not-for-profit, international organization that develops and maintains standards for barcodes and other identification systems. It was founded in 1974 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. GS1 standards are widely used across industries to improve efficiency, safety, and transparency in supply chains2. One of its most well-known contributions is the barcode, which revolutionized retail and logistics by enabling products to be scanned electronically. GS1 also works on RFID technologyproduct data synchronization, and next-generation barcodes to bridge the physical and digital worlds.

New Generation Sensors (NGS) presents the TrackOne Platform is a multi-tenant solution developed by New Generation Sensors S.r.l., designed for the intelligent management of data and documents in cooperative and multimodal logistics. This cutting-edge cloud platform integrates connected measuring devices, blockchain and IPFS technologies, as well as GS1 EPCIS 2.0 and GS1 EDI standards, ensuring reliability, interoperability, and security in supply chain management processes, regardless of the mode of transport. New Generation Sensors (NGS) is an Italian SME specializing in the development of advanced IoT systems for enabling the supply chain complete visibility. With a strong expertise in embedded systems, and cloud systems NGS delivers end-to-end solutions tailored to complex industrial applications toward the Physical Internet.

Alstom, a global leader in rail transport, actively contributes to the GS1 Hauts-de-France Interest Group, which promotes the use of GS1 standards in the railway industry. The second presentation of the webinar will share practical in-sights on how GS1 standards are applied on the Regio2N project, the favorable and challenging conditions for their deployment, and key lessons learned to help new adopters avoid common pitfalls.
